Beyoncé, “Queen Bey'' to many, is coming to theater screens worldwide. She will serve and leave an everlasting impression. At least, that is the expectation for a perfectionist like Beyoncé.

Over the years, Beyoncé has been a warrior in touring and has some of the greatest grossing tours of all time. Now that her highest grossing tour of all time will be documented, many fans are raving across social media.

Beyoncé previously made history as the first Black woman to headline “Coachella.” When Beyoncé's fan, the Hive, learned that it would be streaming on Netflix, the streaming service anticipated more traction as it reached 1.1 million US viewers on the film’s release day. Homecoming was the name of the film and it was spectacular. I was a “budding bee” at that time and while I still have too much pride to call myself any type of “stan,” her movie tore down my computer screen.

This year, Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour is coming to the big screens in December 2023 and while the hype is on other events such as Taylor Swift's eras film and the Queen Of Pop Madonna's celebration tour, fans are still in their silver boots and hat era. In the numerous concert reviews from the internet, many attendees for Beyoncé's tour said the concert made them more of a fan.

The Philip Merrill College of Journalism's Student Services Supervisor Luis Valderrama attended a concert on August 5 that took place in Maryland’s FedEx Field Stadium.  He attended the concert alongside his partner and some other companions. While he considers himself an occasional fan and going to the concert was initially unplanned, it made him more keen on Beyoncé's music.

“Listening to the album a thousand times to prepare for the concert made me a bigger fan,” said Valderrama.

He highlighted her showmanship and how she worked the crowd. He loved the vogue number featuring the Madonna inspired song "You Won't Break My Soul'' that Beyoncé and her dancers performed each night of her 56 show tour.

Valderrama said, “her simple and slow moments on stage were visually striking.”

He said that he doesn't see the film “flopping” and despite Beyoncé's counterparts' successful projects like Taylor Swift: The Eras tour and Adele's residency, “she won't fall into obscurity because she's Beyoncé.”

Valderrama purchased tickets in advance to watch the film. He said that he is most excited to see the behind the scenes of the tour. Many people may not like Beyoncé until they see a taste of her and their take on her talent shifts. After this film, we may see a more positive shift in her fan base.
