Apple announced the launch of three new iPhones and an Apple Watch Series last week. While some people are anticipating their phone upgrades, others question if any major changes were made. The new phones introduced were the iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR.

Some iPhone users disagree with the pricing of the new models. The new models range from $749 to $1,499. According to Apple’s website, the iPhone X and XS have nearly all of the same features of size, display and camera, having consumers in no rush to upgrade.

In an exclusive SurveyMonkey audience poll for USA Today, only 13 percent of respondents said they planned to upgrade within the next three months.

“There is interest in learning about the new iPhone, but consumers ... aren’t necessarily planning on purchasing it," said Sarah Cho, director of research for SurveyMonkey.

According to the New York Times, Apple has already sold almost 100 million iPhones in the first two quarters of 2018 and is predicted to sell more than 200 million overall this year.

The Apple Watch Series 4 seems to bring more to the table than the phones. The new watch offers faster wireless connection, tweaked cellular coverage and a bigger display. The digital watch also provides more health features like an electrical heart sensor and an improved accelerometer.

When the new devices were available for purchase Sept. 21, lines everywhere weren't filled with as many people as expected. On Friday, about a half-hour into preorders opening up, many models were still available for in-store pickup or shipment. In the past, some iPhone models have sold out in less than 10 minutes, according to CNET.

While consumers look for Apple’s quality, that ultimate decision comes down to paying the steep price.
